Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Jack Jones made a huge play in his team’s 20-14 surprising win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, and he punctuated the play with a savage move.
The Raiders were leading 9-7 in the second quarter after scoring on a fumble returned for a touchdown. Then on K.C.’s first play from scrimmage after the TD, Jones intercepted Patrick Mahomes and returned the ball 33 yards for a touchdown to make it 17-7.
After scoring, Jones ran to the fans and pretended to give the ball to a young Chiefs fan. Instead, Jones pulled back the ball in a classic “psyche!” move.
That is so savage.
The young kid and his family thought they were getting an awesome Christmas gift, but instead Jones pulled the ball back.
That’s harsh.
Kansas City was able to score a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but that was it. The Chiefs split their season series with the Raiders and are now 9-6 with two games left in the regular season. A win over either the Bengals in Week 17 or the Chargers in Week 18 will give Kansas City the AFC West title.
The Raiders are now 7-8 and have won two in a row.
