Watch: Richard Sherman says Chargers should fire Brandon Staley at halftime

Former NFL cornerback and current analyst Richard Sherman said the Los Angeles Chargers should make history on Thursday and fire Brandon Staley at halftime of their game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sherman made the comment after the Chargers completely humiliated themselves by falling into a 42-0 halftime deficit against the Raiders. It is worth mentioning that was against a Raiders team that entered the game without scoring a touchdown on 19 consecutive offensive possessions and was shut out on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Have a look at Sherman's analysis here.

The kicker on that was suggesting they should also have an Uber waiting for him outside of the stadium.

The Chargers turned the ball over three times in the first half and were downright awful defensively. They definitely had some injury concerns coming into the game with several key starters out, including quarterback Justin Herbert.

That does not excuse the way the team came out to start the game. Especially against a Raiders team that entered the game with just five wins, is starting Aidan O'Connell at quarterback and was also without one of its top offensive players in running back Josh Jacobs.

Given the way this season has gone for the Chargers and that they are going to miss the playoffs for the second time in three years under Staley -- with zero playoff wins -- it seems inevitable that his time with the team is going to end soon. Almost certainly at the end of the season and potentially before then. If Sherman had his way it would have been at halftime of this game.
