Watch: Saints star WR nearly gets in postgame brawl with Panthers DT

Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas had to be separated from a potential brawl following the teams' "Monday Night Football" game in Week 2.

The three-time Pro Bowl wideout finished the 20-17 Saints win tied for a game-high seven receptions on nine targets for 55 yards. Brown had seven combined tackles, including four solo takedowns.

It's not clear what started the heated altercation, but the video seems to show that the incident was broken up before things got too bad.

Thomas has been limited to 10 games over the last three seasons due to injuries, including just three during the 2022 campaign. He's off to a fast start in 2023, as the two-time First-Team All-Pro ranks second on the team only to fellow Ohio State product Chris Olave in targets (17) and receptions (12), while placing third in receiving yards (116).

Brown is in his fourth season in Carolina after the Panthers selected him seventh overall in the 2020 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old leads the squad in combined (15) and solo tackles (12) through two games this year, while recording two tackles for loss and one sack as well.
