Watch: Vikings OL hauls in 'Immaculate Reception' for 21-yard gain vs. Packers

Unsurprisingly, the Vikings offense was struggling mightily through much of the first three quarters of Minnesota's Week 17 "Sunday Night Football" matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Not only were the Vikings playing in the hostile environment of Lambeau Field, but they were doing so with backup quarterback Sean Mannion under center, thanks to unvaccinated starter Kirk Cousins' positive COVID-19 test.

The Vikings finally found the end zone as time expired in the third quarter, as Mannion hit wide receiver K.J. Osborn for a touchdown pass, but it was the previous play that had social media buzzing.

The 21-yard catch-and-run was the first reception of third-year center Garrett Bradbury's NFL career.

Regarding the original "Immaculate Reception", Pittsburgh Steelers running back Franco Harris made a similar, shoestring catch after quarterback Terry Bradshaw's pass intended for John "Frenchy" Fuqua during a 1972 playoff game was broken up. Harris scored a touchdown on his reception, which is commonly thought of as one of the most famous plays in NFL history.
