Watch: Vikings QB Nick Mullens throws shockingly bad INT vs. Bengals

Oh no, Nick Mullens.

Already in field-goal range in the waning moments of the first half, Vikings quarterback Mullens turned a bad play into a disastrous one when he avoided a sack by throwing the ball directly at Bengals defensive tackle B.J. Hill, who was already on the ground after wrapping Mullens up on the QB hit.

Bengals cornerback Mike Hilton made a game-changing interception at the goal line earlier in the quarter, preventing Minnesota from growing its 7-3 lead.

On that play, Mullens targeted wide receiver Justin Jefferson in the end zone, which is usually a great idea.

However, he badly missed the All-Pro wideout, who was double-covered by Hilton and fellow corner Chidobe Awuzie.

Mullens is the fourth Vikings quarterback to start this season, following Week 1 starter Kirk Cousins, rookie Jaren Hall and trade-deadline acquisition Joshua Dobbs. He went 9-of-13 for 83 yards in relief of a benched Dobbs last week in a 3-0 win against the Raiders.

In the first half against the Bengals, he was 12-of-16 for 155 yards and the two interceptions.

Because of Mullens' pair of bad decisions, Minnesota is in danger of losing after outplaying Cincinnati in the first half. The Vikings outgained the Bengals 188-101 and held Cincy's offense to five first downs.

Mullens had an ugly 3.4 interception rate for his career entering Week 15 and played down to his reputation in the first half. If he continues to make questionable decisions, another change at quarterback needs to be considered.
