Watch: Von Miller signs his old Broncos jersey ahead of 'Monday Night Football'

The lead-up to "Monday Night Football's" matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos must have been emotional for Von Miller.

He's with the Bills now, but it's hard to think about Miller's dominance as a pass rusher without remembering his 10-plus seasons in Denver.

Broncos fans haven't forgotten him, either, as was apparent before the "MNF" contest in Highmark Stadium, where a weary road fan got a special treat from an old friend.

Miller was taken by the Broncos in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played the first 10 seasons of his career with Denver. He represented the Broncos for all eight of his Pro Bowl appearances. He was the Super Bowl 50 MVP as he notched 2.5 sacks in Denver's 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

In the same breath as John Elway, Miller "was" Denver football.

In a shocking blockbuster at the 2021 trade deadline, the rebuilding Broncos traded Miller to the Los Angeles Rams, where he helped that squad win Super Bowl LVI. The Bills picked him up in 2022 and he was a big part of the squad before hurting his knee just over a year ago.

Having been back for the past five games, Miller made it clear in the leadup to "Monday Night Football" that this one against Denver was special to him.

“You know, I can go out there and win the game by myself, kind of like a quarterback on offense. I’ve always had that type of self-belief,” Miller told the AP.

“So it’s definitely a sense of urgency for sure, especially for me,” he added. “And what a better week to get it done than this week. ‘Monday Night Football.’ Going against my old team.”
