Chase Young and The Washington Football Team knew it was going to be an uphill battle against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers Monday night.

Taking on Pittsburgh in this Week 13 game after it was postponed from Sunday, Washington needed a stout defensive performance to keep pace with the New York Giants in the NFC East.

Down 7-0 in the second quarter, one of the NFL’s best defenses had to step up with Pittsburgh driving. That’s when Young, the No. 2 pick of this year's draft, did a thing.

As you will see below, Young flew in the air and stopped Benny Snell on a fourth-and-goal from the Washington one-yard line.

That’s almost otherworldly stuff right there. Not only did Young pretty much recognize the run pre-snap, he snuffed out the Steelers on a huge fourth-and-goal situation to keep Washington in the game.

Unfortunately for Young and his squad, Washington's offense followed that play with a three-and-out. Three plays later, Ben Roethlisberger hit James Washington on a 50-yard touchdown to give Pittsburgh a 14-0 lead.

In no way does this take away from the tremendous individual effort from Young. Despite dealing with some injury issues as a rookie, the Ohio State product has been solid. He entered Monday night’s game having recorded 27 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

The dude is going to be a beast in the nation’s capital.
