What's next for Bill Belichick if he doesn't coach in 2024?

After the Atlanta Falcons passed on Bill Belichick, it appears he won't coach in 2024, which left many wondering what he'll do next.

The six-time Super Bowl champion still has some options on the table, including a role as a TV analyst or a consultant.

"He could sit out the year and potentially become, maybe, the most coveted coach next year. I know if the Cowboys and Eagles struggle again, certainly that's going to be a topic of discussion," NFL Media's Ian Rapoport said Sunday on "NFL GameDay." "He could be a consultant for a team. That's certainly a possibility as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he joined us right here in the TV world. He already won an Emmy. I wouldn't put it past him to try for another."

Belichick received a Sports Emmy in 2021 as an analyst for NFL Network's "NFL 100 All-Time Team." Fans would probably enjoy hearing the future Hall of Famer's insight.

He could also follow the same path as Sean Payton. Payton served as a studio analyst for Fox Sports before the Denver Broncos named him as their HC last offseason.

Regardless, don't be surprised if Belichick returns to the sidelines soon. Even though the Falcons didn't hire him, CBS Sports Jonathan Jones reported the 71-year-old still wants to coach in 2025 with total control.

He added Belichick wanted to make significant organizational changes in Atlanta, which is one reason the Falcons hired Raheem Morris instead.

Belichick would probably coach a contender if he returns in 2025. Dallas and Philadelphia could be teams to keep an eye on. Both have excellent rosters but have underachieved, raising questions about Mike McCarthy's (Cowboys) and Nick Sirianni's (Eagles) job security.
