There are plenty of new faces with significant hype heading into the 2023 season on the Pittsburgh Steelers, from free agent signings like Isaac Seumalo and Patrick Peterson, to Omar Khan’s much celebrated 2023 NFL Draft class headlined by Broderick Jones and Joey Porter Jr.

Then there are returning Steelers like Kenny Pickett and George Pickens that seem poised to use Mike Tomlin’s famous Year 2 Bump to reach new heights in their careers. Star outside linebacker T.J. Watt is set to return after missing much of the 2022 season to injury, with hopes that he can resume his Defensive Player of the Year-caliber play.

So which Steelers players are ready to live up to that hype for the start of the 2023 season, and which ones should fans temper expectations for? Alan Saunders of Steelers now joined Jeff Hartman on the Let’s Ride Podcast to talk about the hype behind the 2023 roster and where it makes sense and where it doesn’t.

Alan and Jeff also discussed how the Steelers offense can be better in 2023 under Matt Canada than it has been the last two seasons.
