Washington Redskins receiver Cody Lattimer was arrested Saturday and charged with multiple felonies. The details of the allegations levied against him are absolutely stunning.

Cody Latimer allegedy threatened to ‘kill everyone’ at poker game

Latimer was at a poker game in Colorado when things went sideways quickly. Per the Douglas County Sheriff’s Dept. police report (h/t 9News in Denver), Latimer was agitated, threatened to “kill everyone” and fired off two shots during an altercation.

Per the police report, Latimer had been drinking alcohol when he got into it with another player at the poker game. After things escalated, Roderick English, who hosted the game at his apartment, kicked everyone out. Roughly 30 minutes later, Latimer showed back up at English’s apartment. He blamed English, who described himself as Latimer’s best friend, for being responsible for the altercation.

That’s when things took a dark turn.

Per English’s testimony on the police report, Latimer pulled a handgun out. He said he had saved two bullets — one for English and the other for his girlfriend. Then he threatened to “kill everyone” and fired off two shots.

The two shots were not fired directly at anyone. Afterward, English says he pinned Latimer to the wall. Then, he was allegedly struck on the head by the gun in Latimer’s hand.

All told, Latimer has been charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors over the incident.

  • Assault in the second degree, a class 4 felony
  • Menacing, a class 5 felony
  • Illegal discharge of a firearm, a class 5 felony
  • Prohibited use of weapons, a class 2 misdemeanor
  • Reckless endangerment, a class 3 misdemeanor.

A former second-round pick out of Indiana, Latimer recently signed with Washington in free agency.
