New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson and Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne were trending on Twitter Sunday. The two former BYU teammates are apparently involved in a bizarre love triangle. Alleged details were spilled over social media.

It started when Milne posted a picture on Instagram with Wilson’s ex-girlfriend Abbey Gile. The caption read “Word on the street.”

Then it was discovered Milne and Wilson no longer followed each other on social media.

Some fans rushed to judgment and criticized Gile. One went as far as calling her a “homie hopper” that prompted her to fire back a bombshell of an allegation towards Wilson.

Gile accused Wilson of sleeping with his mother’s best friend.

That’s a huge swerve in an already tantalizing story.

In summary, Milne and Wilson were once college roommates, best of friends. However, somehow Wilson’s ex is now with Milne. But only because Wilson is alleged to have had a relationship with his mom’s best friend.

Twitter has been ablaze with endless jokes about Wilson.

NFL players joined in joking about the rumor, including Wilson’s Jets teammates.

One thing is clear from this love squabble, Wilson and Milne will have stories for their respective locker rooms when training camp convenes.

Dax Milne will be fighting to carve out a roster spot and role in his second season with the Commanders amid a deep wide receivers room.

Zach Wilson is looking to improve after a bumpy rookie season as the Jets starting quarterback. This is probably not the type of headline he nor the Jets want hovering over him entering a pivotal second year.
