Would Raiders link make Tom Brady less likely to call NFL games for Fox?

There's yet another indication that Tom Brady possibly becoming a limited partner of the Las Vegas Raiders could impact what's supposed to be his future broadcasting career with Fox. 

New York Post sports media columnist Andrew Marchand wrote for a piece published Monday that he has dropped his so-called "Brady Meter" from "49-51 to 47-53 that Brady doesn’t join Fox Sports for his 10-year, $375M deal" after it was reported last week that the seven-time Super Bowl champion may purchase a limited stake in the Raiders. 

Marchand initially generated headlines earlier this month when he said he was "more 49% chance (Brady) does it, 51% chance he doesn’t" ever work as Fox's No. 1 NFL analyst after the columnist "talked to a couple people" who are supposedly close with the retired signal-caller. 

Marchand later insisted he was simply giving an "informed" opinion with his original take but also added at that time that "there are many people in the business skeptical that Brady actually does call games for Fox."

Ahead of the weekend, league insider Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk noted that some owners, particularly those associated with other AFC West teams, would likely consider Brady calling NFL games for Fox while serving as a limited partner with the Raiders "a clear conflict of interest." 

Florio also wrote that Brady will "ultimately be allowed to do whatever he wants to do," but Marchand explained in Monday's piece that TB12's potential relationship with the Raiders "complicates" his deal with Fox. 

"The Raiders situation shows Brady is seeing what else is out there for him, knowing he has Fox in his back pocket if he wants," Marchand continued. 

Brady is in no hurry to travel for NFL broadcast assignments and has already made it known he's taking a "gap year" away from the league. 

The 45-year-old also hasn't publicly closed the door for good regarding another NFL comeback if a team such as the Miami Dolphins or San Francisco 49ers comes calling before training camp sessions begin this summer.
