WR Kadarius Toney has reportedly been at Giants facility since Saturday

New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney produced a mixed bag of results during his rookie season and angered some fans last week when it was learned that he was not attending the opening days of the club's voluntary minicamp.

However, Scott Thompson of SNY and Talkin' Giants' Bobby Skinner have noted that Toney has been at the Giants team facility since Saturday and was there Monday morning.

New Giants general manager Joe Schoen and new head coach Brian Daboll, neither of whom have worked with Toney during his young career, both played down the 23-year-old not attending what they emphasized were "voluntary" sessions while speaking with media members last week. However, a report surfaced ahead of the weekend claiming that the Giants are looking to trade Toney, presumably before the NFL Draft opens on Thursday night.

Ralph Vacchiano of SNY later tweeted the Giants are "more listening than shopping" regarding Toney, who tallied 39 catches for 420 yards and no touchdowns across 10 games and four starts during his debut season:

As Josh Alper wrote for Pro Football Talk, it's unknown what caused Toney's apparent change of heart. Vacchiano explained the Giants seemingly wouldn't dump a first-round selection for a mid-round choice before Thursday night, but it's possible Schoen cares more about sending a message than about recovering equal value for Toney:
