Zach Fulton becomes third Giants player to retire from NFL in four days
Offensive lineman Zach Fulton became the third New York Giants player in four days to announce his retirement from the NFL, according to ESPN's Jordan Ranaan.
Fulton joined veteran offensive lineman Joe Looney and linebacker Todd Davis among the Giants to hang up the cleats. Tight end Kelvin Benjamin also retired from football after being released by the Giants last week.
Fulton signed a one-year deal with the Giants this offseason that would have paid him $1.2 million. He spent the previous three seasons with the Houston Texans.
The 29-year-old was fighting for a roster spot with the Giants this summer, competing mostly with the second-team offense.
