The jury is still out on whether Zach Wilson is the franchise quarterback the New York Jets are looking for.

While he did throw for 2,334 yards and nine touchdowns in his rookie season, he also had 11 interceptions and completed only 55.6 percent of his passes.

Wilson started 13 games for the Jets but only won three.

However, the blame isn’t entirely on him because the Jets were not expected to contend last season.

Likewise, the inconsistent protection from the offensive line did not help his cause.

But instead of pointing a finger elsewhere, the former BYU standout is doing anything he can to improve his game.

That’s why he attended a training camp for tight ends.

The photo shows Wilson with San Francisco 49ers tight end and Tight End University founder George Kittle.

Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen established the camp as a learning ground for NFL players who play the position.

They share tips on how to become a better tight end, be it in blocking or receiving.

While Wilson is a quarterback, he must have felt that TEU will help him take the next step.

Likewise, he might also be there to build his relationship with their new tight end, C.J. Uzomah.

Uzomah has winning experience with the Cincinnati Bengals and Wilson would like to pick his mind on how to get it done.

More Targets For Wilson To Work With

Aside from Uzomah, the Jets also selected Garrett Wilson in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

In his final year at Ohio State, Wilson had 1,058 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Those numbers made him a part of last year’s Second Team All-Big Ten.

He will be an asset to the Jets’ receiving corps which also has Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, Braxton Berrios, and Denzel Mims.
