Carr is the obvious candidate to end his streak first because he is actually a starting quarterback.

Dalton, meanwhile, has become a backup and most recently had a few starts with the Chicago Bears.

But he may end up being in a Ryan Fitzpatrick-like role for the remainder of his career.

That will mean more starts, but not on a team destined for playoff success.

That shifts the attention back to Carr.

He has been with the Las Vegas Raiders since 2014 and just made his first career postseason start.

The quarterback is turning 31 years old in March and is a top trade candidate this offseason.

That means he may end up going the Stafford route where he has to be sent elsewhere to get his first playoff win.

Such a scenario may be for the best if the Raiders don’t retain Rich Bisaccia as head coach, thus leading to more turnover for a team seeking stability.

A team trading for Carr would expect him to lead them to the postseason.
