
Chicago Bears defensive back Kyler Gordon finally returned from injured reserve during last week’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The former 2022 second round pick didn’t see much action as he played on a snap count.

One week later, Gordon has gotten injured yet again.
During pregame warmups prior to Sunday’s 28-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers, Gordon suffered an injured groin and did not play during the game.
This led to a last second change in Dennis Allen’s gameplan for the defense. It was clear the Bears defense hurt without their top nickel corner in the game.

Following the loss on Sunday, Bears head coach Ben Johnson voiced his frustration over Gordon being unable to stay healthy.
Bears writer Dan Wiederer from the Athletic posted on X, saying that you “can sense Ben Johnson’s frustration and disappointment” regarding Gordon getting hurt yet again.
Johnson sounded off regarding the Bears’ defensive back during Monday’s press conference.
”It’s disappointing. I wish I had a better feel for the individual. But with him being out as much as he has been, I haven’t really gotten to see him on the field and competing and get to know him like I’d like to at this point yet”

After getting a $40 million extension in the offseason, there are major concerns regarding the cornerback’s future in Chicago.
Gordon needs to stay healthy and prove himself if he wants to play for the Bears moving forward.
