Ben Roethlisberger insists Steelers aren't focused on undefeated season: 'We're chasing Lombardis'

At 10-0, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the lone undefeated team in the NFL and are only six wins away from becoming just the third team to not lose a single regular-season game in more than 50 years. But quarterback Ben Roethlisberger insists the team is less interested in an undefeated regular season than they are in winning a Super Bowl.

"We're not chasing perfection in terms of a perfect 16-0," quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "We're chasing Lombardis. That's the most important thing for us."

Roethlisberger is no stranger to Lombardis, as he has won the Super Bowl twice in his NFL career and is hoping to win at least one more before he retires. And as a Super Bowl champion, Roethlisberger knows it does not matter what your record is when you get to the big game, all that matters is whether or not you walk away victorious.

And while focusing on 16-0 may seem tempting, fans will remember that it by no means guarantees that you will win the championship. After all, the 2007 New England Patriots absolutely dominated opponents on their way to a perfect regular season, only to lose in the Super Bowl to the New York Giants, who were a Wild Card team.

But still, it's something that fans are inevitably going to focus on, especially when a team still has not lost this late into the season. And with the New York Jets looking dangerously close to going 0-16, we may get to see an undefeated and winless team in the same season.
