Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase has always been confident in himself and has had no problem backing up his words with his play. Reporters on Wednesday asked Chase about his Week 2 matchup with Cowboys All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs, who led the NFL in interceptions last season with 11.
The Bengals receiver didn't hold back, saying, "He's got great ball skills in the air. He's super-fast. He's not too technically sound though. You know what I'm saying? He's a little hit or miss. He's either all the way or not at all, but he's definitely a great athlete."

Sunday's game in Arlington, Texas, will be the first time the two line up against each other in the NFL. In college, Chase --who starred at LSU-- got the best of Diggs and Alabama in 2019, catching six passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers' 46-41 win.
Both teams are looking for bounce-back weeks after losing in Week 1, and all eyes will be on the Chase vs. Diggs matchup, especially with Cincinnati WR Tee Higgins still in the concussion protocol.
Chase ranks fourth in the NFL's receiving yard leaders after Week 1 with 129 yards and will likely be shadowed by Diggs. The Cowboys' defense held the Buccaneers to 195 passing yards in Week 1, but Diggs was beaten for Tampa Bay's lone TD, a five-yard pass from Tom Brady to Mike Evans.
