Browns activate WR KhaDarel Hodge from reserve/COVID-19 list

The Cleveland Browns continue to get more whole ahead of Sunday's playoff game at the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cleveland confirmed on Thursday that wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge has been activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Browns added the 26-year-old and also three-time Pro Bowl left guard Joel Bitonio to the list last week, and both missed last Sunday's victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to Scott Petrak of the Chronicle-Telegram, the Browns expect to activate Bitonio from the list before Sunday.

It was widely reported that both Hodge and Bitonio tested positive for the coronavirus, which left their statuses for the divisional round of the postseason up in the air through Thursday morning. Hodge recorded 11 receptions for 180 yards during the campaign and also dealt with hamstring issues multiple times.

On Wednesday, the Browns activated cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson from the reserve/COVID-19 list. Ward is Cleveland's top player at the position and finished the regular season tied for second in the NFL with 18 passes defended.

Meanwhile, Kansas City rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was back on the practice field on Wednesday and is expected to return to the lineup from the high ankle sprain he suffered in the 32-29 win over the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 20.
