Browns named 'best fit' for two-time Super Bowl champion

The Browns have been building around DE Myles Garrett throughout free agency and NFL.com's Nick Shook believes they shouldn't be done doing so.

Shook thinks Cleveland should sign former Chiefs DE Frank Clark.

"A return home for Clark, a Cleveland kid who's looking to add another ring to his collection, feels beneficial for both parties -- and for Garrett," he writes.

Clark was released by Kansas City earlier this month after the two sides were unable to find common ground on a reworked deal. He will turn 30 this summer but he's never played less than 14 games in a season.

Pro Football Focus ranks Clark as its No. 15 remaining free agent after having 39 tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in 2022. However, he continues to make his money in the playoffs as the NFL’s third all-time leading postseason sack leader.

Clark helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV and LVII, and the Browns will hope he'll do the same for them if they decide to add the eight-year veteran to their roster.

Cleveland hasn't been to the playoffs since the 2020 season. So, maybe Clark can help get them to get back to the postseason and play as he does en route to the franchise's first Lombardi Trophy.
