Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns couldn't get it done in Week 14, falling to 3-10 on the 2025 NFL season after a 31-29 loss to Cam Ward and the Cleveland Browns. Now, the Browns will look to end a two-game skid in Week 15 but have a tough test, hitting the road to face Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
Despite the loss, Sanders posted arguably the best game of his rookie year, completing 23 of 42 passes for 364 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, while adding 29 yards and another score on the ground. But after he led Cleveland down the field on the final drive, coach Kevin Stefanski chose not to use Sanders on the two-point conversion attempt, and the Browns failed to convert.
But in his third career start, Sanders still found his way into the record books. The former Colorado Buffaloes star became the first Cleveland quarterback since 1950 to post at least 300 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in a single game.
The last Browns quarterback to accomplish this was Pro Football Hall of Famer Otto Graham on Sept. 16, 1950. In Cleveland’s 35–10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles that year, Graham completed 21-of-38 passes for 346 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, while adding three rushing yards and another score on the ground.

With just four games left in the season, the Browns have elected to keep Sanders as their starting quarterback for the rest of the year. He will be back in action on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET against the Bears.
