Chargers fire Anthony Lynn after back-to-back losing seasons

Lynn finishes his career in Los Angeles with a 33-31 record. He finished 12-4 in 2018 but has since put together two losing seasons despite having a plethora of talent on the roster. 

The 52-year-old drew harsh criticism this season for his clock and game management. His special teams' management also was criticized with the Chargers ranking last in the league in the category.

L.A. will have plenty of options for its head coaching vacancy. Eric Bieniemy, Josh McDaniels, Brian Daboll, Mike Kafka and Todd Bowles are among the hottest names on the market. However, the Chargers will have to compete with the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans to land one of those candidates.
