Chase Young had one request for Tom Brady after playoff loss

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Washington Football Team 31-23 on Saturday night. All in all, the game went largely as expected – which made the lead-up to it all the funnier.

Heading into the outing, Washington defensive end Chase Young made headlines when he publicly called out Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

“Tom Brady, Tom Brady, I’m coming! I want Tom! I want Tom,” he could be heard yelling ahead of the big game.

So what happened when Young ultimately got what he wanted? Not a whole lot.

Brady finished with 381 yards, two touchdowns and a victory over the Washington Football Team, while Young recorded a mere three tackles, none for a loss, with no sacks and zero quarterback hits. Young’s lack of any real game impact is all the more startling considering he played in 63 of his squad’s 72 defensive snaps.

After the game, Young took a much more conciliatory tone with Brady. In fact, he took a moment to pay his respects to the legend.

Young also had one particular request for Brady: his jersey.

Based on Brady’s response, it sounds like Young will ultimately get what he asked for.

Next up for Brady: yet another showdown against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday with a berth in the NFC Championship Game on the line. Time will tell if the referees will be as friendly towards the Saints in this one as they were during the Bears game.
