Chiefs join special NFL club with 4th Super Bowl win

The Kansas City Chiefs have done what few teams are capable of in the NFL. They just won back-to-back Super Bowl titles. Patrick Mahomes clinched his third ring of his career. 

The Chiefs are in elite company now, too. You cannot deny their success as a franchise, especially during the Super Bowl era. 

With their latest SB win over the San Francisco 49ers, the Chiefs joined an elite club of seven NFL teams with four Super Bowl victories.

The New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, and the Chiefs hold four Super Bowl wins. The San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys have five. The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers have six in the Super Bowl era. 

The Chiefs are now 4-2 in their Super Bowl appearances. 

Over the past two decades, you can argue that the Chiefs and Patriots have been the class of the league. No other franchise has seen the success that those two have in that timespan, and the end is not in sight for KC. 

This time, the Chiefs showed resiliency once again. They overcame a double-digit deficit against a top-flight 49ers team.
