Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Move Announced on Monday

Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys couldn't secure their fourth-straight win, dropping to 6-6-1 on the 2025 NFL season after a 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions in Week 14's edition of "Sunday Night Football." Prescott struggled to get much going against a depleted Lions secondary, completing 31-of-47 passes for 376 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

But while Dallas’ offense managed to put up 30 points, the defense had its worst performance since trading for Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson, allowing Jared Goff to carve up the secondary for 309 yards and letting running back Jahmyr Gibbs do essentially whatever he wanted. Trevon Diggs’ absence played a major part, missing his seventh straight game due to injury.

But while the Cowboys saw their playoff hopes take a major hit, that hasn’t stopped Prescott and Diggs from spreading some holiday spirit. On Monday, the two stars, along with a couple of cheerleaders, visited a local Dallas hospital to meet Case, a young fan dealing with asthma. The fifth grader was thrilled to see Prescott and Diggs, even getting to enjoy a game of air hockey with them.

"I heard Case is in here," Prescott said as he walked into the room, with Case showing his excitement. "What's up Case? What's up? Give me a hug. There we go, that's what I'm talking about. We got some more friends coming in here. Diggs... You trying to get a game in?"

"The #Cowboys made their annual rounds to area hospitals for the holidays today," Cowboys staff writer Tommy Yarrish wrote on X. "Would be hard to find anyone more excited to see Dak Prescott and Trevon Diggs than Case, a fifth grader dealing with asthma, who made quick work of them both in air hockey."

Prescott and the Cowboys will be back in action in Week 15's edition of "Sunday Night Football," hosting the Minnesota Vikings in a game they hope Diggs will be able to return.
