Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill calls out Bengals CB Eli Apple: 'I owe you, boy'

The Bengals earned their first win Sunday, beating the New York Jets, 27-12. On Thursday night at home, they face a much stiffer test in the AFC's lone unbeaten team, the Dolphins (3-0). Ahead of the matchup, Miami receiver Tyreek Hill is already talking trash.

"I can't wait to go against Eli Apple," he said of the Cincinnati cornerback following Miami's Week 3 win over the Bills. "I owe you, boy. I owe you. I'm here. The cheetah is here," Hill told reporters Sunday.

Per Statmuse, Hill has not put up big numbers against the Bengals (1-2), tallying 13 catches for 108 yards and one TD in two games.

In Week 3 against the Jets, the Bengals' offense tallied 330 yards and controlled the clock with a time of possession of 32 minutes and 24 seconds. It will need a similar performance against the Dolphins' high-powered attack.

Through three games, per ESPN.com, the Dolphins have two of the NFL's top three in receiving yards with receivers Jaylen Waddle (342) and Hill (317).

The Bengals must take advantage of playing at home on a short week against Miami, which is coming off an emotional win against division rival Buffalo.

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa went into concussion protocol during the game but returned. The NFLPA is investigating the handling of the concussion, per the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
