Eagles' Brown Reveals Spring Reading List After Mastering 'Inner Excellence'

It is a rare occasion when a football player is credited for making an author famous and taking a dormant book and making it No. 1 on the best seller list.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown did just that. He was caught by Fox cameras reading "Inner Excellence" by Jim Murphy on the sidelines, as is his habit. Once people found out what he was reading, the book went from 532nd on the New York Times Best Seller List to the top.

After meeting Murphy, the two agreed to go into business together and collaborate on a book. Perhaps the Super Bowl-winning Brown will become a best-selling author as well.

Brown took to social media to announce other books he enjoyed and recommended them to his fans.

"Wassup guys, I’m excited to let you all in on my reading journey. Reading has become fun for me and another way I challenge myself to grow regularly," Brown said.

Then he introduced a list of required reading. Brown is a staunch believer of self-help books and books which make one more confident in their skin.

"Here are some books that I’ve read last year and the beginning of this year as well. I’ve read the majority of these books and I still have some work to do, but I encourage you to find a book that may catch your interest," Brown said. "Get a hard copy or even an audiobook if that’s easier and try to find something that challenges you so you can become a better version of yourself."

Brown said that he was currently in the middle of The Courage to Be Disliked by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi.

Also included in Brown's reading list were The Art of War by Sun Tzu, The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a (Expletive) by Mark Manson and The Rise: Kobe Bryant and the Pursuit of Immortality by Mike Sielski.
