Looking ahead to NFL Week 9, here are five players we expect to outperform their projections in fantasy football.
Williams' owners are understandably frustrated after he scored only 4.68 points and 11.8 points in his last two games, but this is a prime bounce-back spot against a Bengals defense that can't stop anyone. Cincinnati ranks last in the NFL in points allowed per game (31.6), 30th in passing yards allowed per game (256.0) and 26th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks.
After a disappointing start to the season, Brown has come to life with Joe Flacco under center. Over the last two games, Brown has recorded 181 rushing yards and two total touchdowns. This is another opportunity to smash against a Bears defense that ranks 30th in yards per rush allowed (5.3) and 23rd in fantasy points allowed to running backs. Fire Brown up as a high-end RB2.

The Jaguars are making a concerted effort to get Hunter more involved in the offense. In their last game against the Los Angeles Rams, Hunter recorded season-high marks in offensive snaps (67), targets (14), catches (eight) and receiving yards (101). If Brian Thomas Jr. doesn't suit up on Sunday, Hunter will be a must-start against a Raiders defense that's giving up the fourth-most points to opposing wide receivers.
There's a good chance Detroit used the bye week to experiment with more ways to get Williams the ball. Don't take it from us, though. Take it from Lions offensive coordinator John Morton.
"I failed him. That's what I told him," Morton said this week, per ESPN. "I have to do a better job with [getting him the ball]."
Williams is one of the most explosive weapons in the NFL, yet he's had two or fewer catches in five of his last six games. Morton knows he's been misusing Williams, so expect a busier day against the Vikings on Sunday.
It's time to start ranking Gadsden like the top-10 tight end he is. Over the last three games, Gadsden has averaged 7.3 targets, 6.3 catches, 103.0 receiving yards and 19.9 PPR points. That's elite usage and production for a tight end. Gadsden has played 83 percent of L.A.'s pass snaps over the last two weeks, so his role in the passing offense is only increasing. Don't hesitate to start the rookie against a terrible Titans defense.
