Former Bengals offensive tackle Trent Brown is finalizing a one-year, $3 million contract with the Houston Texans according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brown spent last season with the Bengals, making three starts. He suffered a torn patellar tendon in Cincinnati's Week 3 loss to Washington.
The Bengals were unlikely to re-sign Brown this offseason with Amarius Mims and Orlando Brown Jr. occupying both starting offensive tackle jobs, but the veteran could've been an ideal sixth lineman.
Brown is versatile and has experience at both left and right tackle. Instead, he'll join a Houston offensive line room that has plenty of new faces.
