New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was heading toward an incredible rookie season in 2025 before getting injured. He played in the first eight games of the year for the Giants, totaling 101 carries for 410 yards and five touchdowns. He also caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two more scores.
The 23-year-old made five starts in the backfield for New York after Tyrone Tracy Jr. went down with a dislocated shoulder. He averaged 74 yards per game with four total touchdowns in his first four starts.
On Oct. 26 against the Philadelphia Eagles, though, Skattebo sustained an ankle injury that required surgery and will keep him out for the rest of the season.
Since he's been out, Skattebo has provided updates on his injury status on his social media accounts, including thanking fans for their support in a post on X after undergoing the surgery.
He has also interacted with his fans off the field by streaming on Twitch while playing video games. Skattebo hosted a stream on Sunday night after he watched his team fall to 2-8 on the season with a loss to the Chicago Bears.
On Tuesday, Skattebo took to Instagram again to give an update to his supporters and to let them know he was streaming once more.
"New Boot today, and another stream from yours truly," he said on his Instagram story.
While he isn't able to support his team on the field, fans have loved being able to interact with Skattebo throughout his injury process.
New York Giants take on the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium on Fox. His fellow rookie, quarterback Dart, remains questionable for the game due to a concussion he sustained in the Week 10 Bears game.
