Giants' DeAndre Baker charged with armed robbery with firearm, faces minimum of 10 years in jail

DeAndre Baker may never play professional football again after just one season with the New York Giants.

According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Baker is facing a minimum 10-year jail sentence after being charged with four counts of robbery with a firearm. Seattle Seahawks defensive back Quinton Dunbar, who was arrested for the same crime, isn't being charged because there isn't enough evidence, Leonard adds.

Baker, 22, is accused of stealing cash and watches from four men at a house party in Miramar, Fla., in May.

The 2019 first-round pick turned himself in on May 16 and was released on bond while the investigation was pending. His next court hearing date hasn't been made available, according to Leonard.

Baker played all 16 games for the Giants last season, starting in 15 of them. He recorded 48 solo tackles and two tackles for a loss.
