The New York Giants faced the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football in Week 13.

It was Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart's first game back on the field after missing the previous two with a concussion.

Dart has always been stellar with his arm, but has never been afraid to use his legs and get physical.

He's taken some big hits so far in his rookie season, and he took another on Monday.

In the first quarter, with under four minutes to play, Dart was running down the sideline for the first down. Patriots linebacker Christian Eliss laid Dart out so bad that Dart's Giants teammate rushed over and a scuffle broke out.

Dart spoke to the media after the game and addressed his play style. He knows he has to be more resposible when he's using his legs.

"I'm still getting used to this game," Dart said. "I'm getting used to this speed, this level. In college, you can watch my tape, I very rarely slid. This is a different beast. For me, I have to obviously be more responsible when I'm in the open field. But I felt I was getting better at it each and every week."

Dart played his college football at USC and Ole Miss. He was selected 25th overall in last April's NFL draft.

In 10 games so far this season, Dart has thrown for 1,556 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.

He's also rushed 61 times for 337 yards and seven touchdowns.

Dart and the Giants have a bye in Week 14 and will return to the field in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders.
