Ja’Marr Chase hits another NFL milestone with 70-yard TD vs. Packers

Ja’Marr Chase continues to have one of the best starts an NFL wide receiver has ever had to begin his career.

Already the youngest player in NFL history to catch four touchdowns in his first three games, Chase’s latest landmark came in the Cincinnati Bengals’ Week 5 clash with the Green Bay Packers.

With the Bengals’ backs against the wall after allowing 16-straight points to the Packers, Chase stepped up and made what may be the biggest play of the game, as Burrow found him down the field for a 70-yard touchdown strike, pulling his team to within 16-14 heading into halftime.

By doing so, Chase became just the fourth player in the Super Bowl Era with at least 50 receiving yards in each of his first five career games, joining Terry Glenn (1996), CeeDee Lamb (2020) and Terry McLaurin (2019). If you go pre-Super Bowl era, Chase is the fifth player to do this after Earl McCulloch (seven in 1968) did so as well.
