One of the big questions hanging over the New York Jets organization this offseason is what Aaron Rodgers will do regarding his playing future.
The four-time MVP winner has stated he will take some time to decide on what he wants to do in 2025 and has spoken numerous times that there won't be any ill feelings toward the Jets if they want to part ways.
There is a thought of Rodgers retiring too, with the 41-year-old maybe feeling that his time in the league is coming to an end, but of you ask his best friend, receiver Davante Adams, he isn't entirely sold on the thought that Aaron will walk away from the game.
"It feels like it's done for the year at least," Adams said on the Up & Adams Show. "It could happen, but you look at the way he played once he was healthier towards the end of the year, could definitely make a case he has a few more years left in the tank for sure.
"That's my take on it, we'll see where he's at after this year."
The Jets organization has a few key decisions that must be made in the offseason along with what to do with Rodgers.
A new head coach and general manager must be appointed, and depending on who they select, Rodgers might not be welcomed back (hello, Mr. Ryan) even if he wants a Jets return.
So the Jets, after two failed years with Rodgers, have arrived at a crossroads.
Do they try and run it back one more time with a new head coach and general manager? Or do they clean house and put this failed experiment behind them?
Either way, Rodgers looms as a pivotal chess piece in New York's offseason work.
