It is about that time of the year. Santa Clause will decide who has been naughty or nice. For the New York Giants, their season has been horrifically naughty. They're arguably the worst team in the NFL, and there could be changes to the coaching staff and front office following this campaign.

Regardless, there are plenty of Giants fans looking at the upcoming draft class. The winter will be mock draft season for followers of the G-Men, for the most part. The results of Week 16 were fantastic on that front for New York.

Giants move to top pick for 2025 NFL Draft

With the Giants' loss to the Atlanta Falcons and the Las Vegas Raiders' win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York moved to the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after Week 16.

The Raiders fell from first to sixth. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots kept it close with the Buffalo Bills but fell to drop to 3-12. They're sitting with the second pick as of now. The Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns round out the rest of the top five.

If the spot holds for the Giants, all eyes will be on the quarterback position in round one.

Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are often the top two QBs discussed in this class. Both are widely projected to go in the first five picks of the first round. Many mock drafts, regardless of New York's spot n the top two, have had them taking one of those two.

They could also choose to go the QB route during free agency, then take their top available prospect in round one. Trading back would also be on the table at that point.

No matter what - there will be plenty of tough decisions to make in New York this offseason. Having the first overall pick could only make the tension even higher, with the pressure that comes along with that.
