Latest Raiders schedule predictions for 2025 features Las Vegas playing on Thanksgiving Day

The full schedule release for the 2025 season is almost here, and in fact, throughout the week, their streaming partners will be releasing select games. For the Las Vegas Raiders, we already know every opponent that they are set to play in 2025.

But we don't know when they will play that team or what streaming service it will be on if it's a primetime game. The Raiders usually get a ton of primetime games, but last year saw that number plummet to just two. And honestly, thank goodness it did, because they were a pretty bad team, and watching a team that bad on national TV doesn't seem ideal.

So, since the schedule is set to be released soon, we will be doing three predictions for the Raiders and their schedule. Some of these are fun and wonky, some are serious. Either way, it feels good to know that the NFL is getting closer to being back.

Raiders play Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day

The last time the Raiders played on Thanksgiving Day, and mind you it's only happened eight times ever, it was against the Dallas Cowboys. And, they won. Las Vegas, in its first year as the Las Vegas Raiders, beat down the Cowboys 36-33.

Their last three Thanksgiving Day games have been against the Cowboys. And let's be honest here: Why aren't the Raiders a staple on this day like other teams are? The Raiders were coached by John Madden, who famously came up with the Turducken. It's not too late to start.

NFL Makes Chiefs vs. Raiders a Black Friday staple

Putting these two teams against one another, who, by the way, absolutely hate one another, on Black Friday every single year, would be the cherry on top. And listen, the Raiders should be on Black Friday every single year, even if it's not against the Kansas City Chiefs every year.

Black Friday, the only team in the league whose primary color is black and no other color? It's a match made in heaven. Last year, the Chiefs vs. Raiders Black Friday game was a huge success with the ratings. Doing it again would only be smart. But we know the NFL, so it probably won't happen.

Raiders vs. Broncos on Christmas Day

Another hatred-filled game on Christmas? Sign me up! I think the Denver Broncos are sure to get a Christmas game this year, especially after seeing how good Bo Nix became in his rookie season. These two teams could be fighting for the wildcard spot in the AFC West, too, so playing on Christmas Day would certainly have some implications.

The Raiders are 1-2 on Christmas Day, having played the Chiefs twice and the Philadelphia Eagles once. The Broncos, on the other hand, are 2-2, and actually played a Christmas Day game in 2022 against the Los Angeles Rams. Getting two AFC West teams that hate each other, who should be pretty decent in 2025, to play on Christmas would be smart.
