New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields is predicted to have a bounce-back year.

The 2025 season could be looked back on in a handful of years as the season where New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields reignited his NFL career under Aaron Glenn and Tanner Engstrand.

With a solid offensive line, Garrett Wilson as his top pass-catcher along with Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, and a trio of running backs, which the offense will lean on, Fields has some decent options around him.

Some don't think that is enough for Fields to work with and to win enough games, but others are more optimistic about the year ahead.

For ESPN's David J. Dennis Jr, who was speaking on First Take, he thinks Fields is going to show the NFL world exactly who he is in 2025.

“I do think Justin Fields will have a better season,” Dennis Jr. said. “He’s going to find that wide receiver No. 1 and get the ball to him as often as possible. He’s also going to use his legs and move around. I think combined with what you have with the Jets organization, with the OC, I think we’re going to see this year where Justin Fields breaks through and he has that type of comeback where we look at as this is the guy that everyone thought he was going to be when he came into the league.”

People of that opinion are few and far between this offseason, with Fields being inconsistent in his first four years in the league. But now he has a clear runway for the starting job and will get all the reps in training camp as he prepares for what could be a defining year.

Granted, not many are expecting fireworks from Glenn's Jets in 2025, but there will be an expectation from the head coach to be a tough team to play against, to bring the physicality, and to give it everything they have.

Predicted to be tough sledding in the Big Apple, Fields might just be the shining light in what might be an otherwise dark season.
