The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Tennessee Titans in Week 13, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence leading the way en route to a dominant 25-3 victory.
Lawrence threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns while completing 16 of his 27 passes. He was sacked three times, but he didn't throw an interception. The Jaguars signal-caller also rushed three times for 25 yards in the win.
Running back Bhayshul Tuten added one score on the ground to help Jacksonville make easy work of the Titans. The Jaguars defense also made life difficult for Tennessee, with QB Cam Ward limited to 24-of-38 passing for 141 yards.
Furthermore, only Tony Pollard reached double digits in rushing yards with 60 for the Titans, further highlighting the stifling defense that the Jaguars displayed.
Despite the win, however, it wasn't all good news for the Jaguars. On Saturday, the NFLannounced its latest round of punishments for the violations committed by players during the game-week.
The Jaguars saw four players punished for a total of $45,852. Most of the fines stemmed from the several fights that occurred during the game, including one before halftime after a late hit on Lawrence near the Jacksonville sideline.
Punter Logan Cooke was hit with the biggest fine for unnecessary roughness (leg whip), costing him $15,555.
Offensive tackle Anton Harrison and safety Andrew Wingard both received $11,593 fines. The NFL punished Harrison for unsportsmanlike conduct (taunting) and Wingard for unnecessary roughness (stepping on an opponent).
Long snapper Ross Matiscik got a $7,111 fine for unnecessary roughness, with the NFL citing his action of pulling a player off pile during the fourth quarter.
It has yet to be seen if the Jaguars and their players will appeal the fines. Nonetheless, Cooke, Harrison, Wingard and Matiscik will need to be careful since repeated violations carry higher fines.
