Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles dropped to 8-4 after losing to the Chicago Bears 24-15 in Week 13. It's their second straight loss after falling to the Dallas Cowboys last week.

Hurts didn't have an amazing game, completing 19-of-34 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and an 84.2 passer rating. He also lost one fumble, which Chicago recovered.

On a first-and-10 play with 9:30 left in the third quarter, Hurts hit wide receiver DeVonta Smith for a one-yard completion. However, instead of facing a second down, Bears defensive tackle Gervon Dexter was flagged for roughing the passer.

The 15-yard penalty gave the Eagles an automatic first down. The drive ended with a 33-yard passing touchdown, and after the extra point, Philadelphia trailed 10-9.

Along with costing Chicago 15 yards, the flag meant the NFL could hand Dexter an additional punishment. According to the league guidelines, players can be fined $17,389 for roughing the passer. It can increase to $23,186 for a second offense in the same season.

The NFL announced its Week 13 gameday accountability report on Saturday. Dexter received good news, as his name was absent, meaning he didn't receive a fine for his hit on Hurts. In fact, no players ended up with additional punishment for roughing the passer.

After avoiding additional punishment, Dexter and the 9-3 Bears are looking to stay hot, riding a five-game winning streak. They hit the road for a Week 14 matchup against the 8-3-1 Green Bay Packers.

As for the recipient of his hit, Hurts is looking to guide the Eagles to a bounce-back win over the 8-4 Los Angeles Chargers on "Monday Night Football."
