The Green Bay Packers already know the first detail of their 2025 schedule . Fox announced a Saturday doubleheader for Week 16, and the Packers will have a big divisional game against the Chicago Bears—Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will have an NFC East matchup on the same day. The order of the games is yet to be decided, so the Packers-Bears game, in Chicago, will start at either 3:30 p.m. or 7 p.m CT.

Beyond the fun experience of a Saturday game, this has extra meaning. The Packers will possibly play on Christmas day as well.
Last year, the NFL also had a doubleheader on Saturday before Christmas. The games were Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. Then, on Christmas, the league scheduled Chiefs vs. Steelers and Ravens vs. Texans.
The idea is that it's harder for a team to play on Sunday and Thursday. And with the extra day of preparation, it makes more sense for everyone involved to play on Saturday and Thursday.
This year, the NFC North and NFC East will face off, so it's feasible to involve all the Packers, Bears, Eagles, and Commanders on the Christmas schedule.
Green Bay will play both Philadelphia and Washington at Lambeau Field, so the Christmas game would be in Wisconsin.
With a rumor floating around that the Eagles and Bears would play on Black Friday, the Packers would host the Eagles on Christmas as a consequence, with the Bears facing the Commanders.

The NFL will release its full 2025 schedule on Wednesday. However, the league is revealing some specific matchups on Monday, and the international schedule will be out on Tuesday.
Just like last year, the NFL will have three games on Christmas Day. The first two will air on Netflix, and the third one will be a part of the regular Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football schedule.
"We will clearly have three games every year," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said earlier this year, making sure that the league intends to keep its strategy of expanding the marketability of the schedule—even when the games are not on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Positively for the Packers' logistics in 2025, though, Christmas is on a Thursday, which will make the preparation smoother.
Additionally, Green Bay is not expected to have international games this season after playing in the United Kingdom in 2022 and in Brazil last year.
