Odell Beckham Jr. 'all-in' on Browns' virtual offseason program

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. annoyed pockets of fans last year when he skipped aspects of the team's offseason training program.

With new head coach Kevin Stefanski leading the charge heading into the summer months this time around, though, it appears the 27-year-old star wants to make good impressions to those who don't yet know him personally.

As Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com explained on Wednesday, Cleveland offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt praised Beckham while speaking with reporters:

"He’s all-in," Van Pelt said of the wideout who is still recovering from surgery to repair a core muscle injury.

Van Pelt continued: "He’s bought in. He’s been there, and it’s awesome. It’s good to have him there. It’s good for him. That’s a tribute to Kevin, I think, and the guys that are buying into the program."

Van Pelt also explained that he's spoken with former New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo, who worked with Beckham when the two were with Big Blue:

"Ben McAdoo had Odell in New York, and everything that Ben talked to me about him, I’ve seen. He’s a worker. He loves football. He’s smart as hell. He’s just been a model guy this offseason. I can’t wait to get him in the building and get him on the field. He’s been outstanding.”

In 2019, Beckham caught 74 of 133 targets but finished his debut season alongside Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield with only four touchdowns, his lowest-scoring production for a campaign that included appearances in 16 games.
