Beating the Bears Sunday at Lambeau catapulted the Packers into the NFC North lead, with the chance to go perfect against the division this season in the rematch against Chicago at Soldier Field.
Barring any sort of calamity down the stretch, the Packers are well positioned to make a deep playoff run, potentially with the road to the Super Bowl running through Green Bay.
If the regular season ended today, Green Bay would open the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the conference, hosting the Bears on Wild Card weekend.
However, head coach Matt LaFleur, quarterback Jordan Love, and Green Bay have much loftier aspirations.
According to Pro Football Focus, the Packers currently have a 12% chance of winning the Super Bowl, after toppling the Bears.
Following Sunday’s win, PFF lists Green Bay as the No. 1 team in the outlet’s power rankings.
Green Bay’s odds aren’t just tied for second best in the league, but the second best in the NFC, behind only the Los Angeles’ Rams 15% chance.
If head coach Matt LaFleur’s team is going to finish as one of the top seeds in the NFC, this team will have earned it after going through a closing stretch of opponents that boast a .567 winning percentage the rest of the way.
Thanks to plenty of star power on both sides of the ball, and a quarterback in Jordan Love who is playing his best football at exactly the right time, it isn’t surprising to see the metrics suggest Green Bay has among the best chances in the league of making it to Santa Clara and the Super Bowl.
