The Kansas City Chiefs are attempting to make NFL history, heading into a Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
While the Eagles have been extremely successful throughout the postseason, defeating the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Commanders, Kansas City has an experience edge.
The Chiefs will be playing in their fifth Super Bowl over the last six years. They'll be looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls, having won in 2022 and 2023.
Before the Chiefs and Eagles go head-to-head for the Lombardi Trophy, Pat McAfee hosted the "Pat McAfee Show" on Friday where he revealed his prediction for game.
While McAfee was weighing his options, giving credit to Philadelphia's roster with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, he believes history will be made.
"Chiefs is still the Chiefs," McAfee said. "They three-peat."
Kansas City heads into Super Bowl LIX having defeated the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills in the postseason. They entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, after starting off the regular season with a 9-0 record and finishing with a 15-2 record.
The Chiefs are led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who's already earned three Super Bowl rings and three Super Bowl MVPs in his eight-year career in Kansas City.
In the Chiefs' last game, a 32-29 victory over the Bills in the AFC Championship Game, Mahomes passed for 245 yards and one touchdown. He also added two touchdowns and 43 yards on the ground.
The Super Bowl is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday on Fox.
