The Los Angeles Rams activated cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon from injured reserve and the veteran will be available for Sunday's road game against the Carolina Panthers.
Witherspoon came away from a Week 2 victory over the Tennessee Titans with a broken scapula and has missed the past 2 1/2 months as the Rams have built the best record in the NFL at 9-2.
Witherspoon, 30, had three tackles and one pass defended in limited action this season. In nine NFL seasons he has 238 tackles, 12 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, and two fumble recoveries for the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Rams.
