Ravens Announce Decision on Mark Andrews' Future During NFL Draft
Jessica Rapfogel-USA TODAY Sports

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is entering the final year of his current contract with the franchise. The 29-year-old pass catcher is set to earn a base salary of $7 million with a salary cap hit of $16.9 million during the 2025 NFL season.

The team could clear $11 million in cap space if they chose to move Andrews this offseason.

During a pre-draft meeting earlier this month, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta was noncommittal when asked about Andrews' future with the team.

“I never know what’s going to happen, and I would never want to say this or that, but I can tell you this: Mark Andrews is a warrior, and he’s played his butt off for us, and his competitiveness, his talent, his attitude, his leadership is so valued here,” DeCosta said. “He’s a great player, and we’re in the business of keeping as many great players as we can, so there’s always a lot of unpredictability with the draft. You just never know.”

During the 2025 NFL draft on Friday night, DeCosta gave a much more clear answer.

“At this point, I really expect Mark to be on this team,” DeCosta said. “Great player. Love him. Competitive, tough, playmaker. I would expect him to be on the team.”

Andrews reeled in 55 catches for 673 yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns through 17 regular-season games with the Ravens in 2024. Unfortunately, his 2024 campaign came to a close with a brutal two-point conversion drop in Baltimore's 27-25 divisional round loss to the Buffalo Bills.

"Mark is in a good place," Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said of Andrews earlier this year. "He's working really hard. I do fully expect him to be playing for us next year. He's just too good a player."
