The Baltimore Ravens have consistently been one of the best teams in the NFL, and they’ve been able to prove that by being a consistent factor in the best division in football. For years, the AFC North has had a reputation for being the toughest division in the league. The division has been so competitive throughout its history that no team was won three straight AFC North championships.
The Ravens, however, are entering the 2025 season as back-to-back division champions, and they have a pretty good chance to make history by claiming the throne again. Of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be a factor with all of their veteran offseason additions— led by Aaron Rodgers, and so will the Cincinnati Bengals, who still have Joe Burrow and his elite duo of receivers. However, most people still consider the AFC North Baltimore’s division to lose.
Analyzing NFL rosters on paper, the best built team in the league is the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Right after them is Baltimore. That’s also the case on the field; Philly and the Ravens were clearly the two best teams in the league last season, even if Baltimore did fall short of making the Super Bowl.
That's why it doesn’t matter what the other teams in the division did this offseason, the Ravens are still, by far, the best team in the group. That’s also why being the first team to three peat as division champions will be a special accomplishment, but will also be viewed as the bare minimum of accomplishments for this talented team.
No one in Baltimore is entering the season with winning the AFC North as the primary goal. That’s just a stepping stone for the team’s actual goal, which is winning a Super Bowl. The Ravens have been in championship-or-bust territory for the last few seasons, so it doesn’t matter what history they accomplish, or how dominant they look in the regular season, if they don’t end the year as Super Bowl champions.
