Ravens, former Pro Bowl DE Jason Pierre-Paul agree to one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million

"JPP" is coming to Baltimore.

News of the deal comes after Pierre-Paul reportedly visited with the Ravens in June and then again met with the team earlier this week.

The 33-year-old spent the first eight seasons of his career with the New York Giants -- winning a Super Bowl and earning one First Team All-Pro nod and two Pro Bowl honors -- before playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2018 to 2021 and winning another Super Bowl and grabbing a third Pro Bowl selection.

Baltimore defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald discussed Pierre-Paul on Thursday afternoon.

He missed five games during the 2021 regular season, including the final three leading up to the playoffs, due to a shoulder injury and underwent surgery in February to address the issue. "JPP" registered 31 tackles, five quarterback hits, four passes defended, and 2.5 sacks last season.
