Report: 'A bunch of teams' interested in Antonio Brown

Last week, reports emerged that the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens may be interested in signing controversial wide receiver Antonio Brown this summer.

Those teams apparently aren't alone.

On Monday, The Athletic's Jay Glazer suggested the 31-year-old wideout may soon find a new football home once his NFL status becomes clear:

There’s actually a bunch of teams. I know it came out that Seattle and Baltimore had interest. They still haven’t been given any indication from the NFL about any punishment or suspension for Brown or if they’re going to put him on the commissioner’s exempt list. I think once there’s an indication about which way they go, I think there will be teams that will be in the fray, absolutely.

Brown has worked out with Seattle backup quarterback Geno Smith during the offseason:

Brown infamously orchestrated a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Raiders in March 2019 but was released before the start of the season following multiple reported incidents.

The New England Patriots took a flier on Brown in September but released him after one appearance when threatening and disturbing text messages allegedly sent by Brown to a woman who claimed he sexually assaulted her were made public. He hasn't played in the NFL since.

Brown avoided a prison sentence earlier this month when he pleaded no contest to charges related to a January event, as ESPN's Cameron Wolfe wrote.

It's believed Brown will face a league-mandated suspension after he puts pen to paper on a deal with an organization.

The four-time First-Team All-Pro led the NFL in touchdown receptions (15) with the Steelers in 2018.
