Report: Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy 'good to go,' will play Week 8 vs. WFT

Riding a four-game losing streak, the Denver Broncos will be getting back arguably their biggest offensive weapon for their Week 8 contest against the Washington Football Team.

Jeudy was placed on injured reserve in mid-September after he went down with a sprained ankle in the team's Week 1 win against the New York Giants. In the season opener, Jeudy tied Noah Fant for the team-high with six receptions on seven targets, while pacing the Broncos with 72 receiving yards.

The 22-year-old wide receiver was selected 15th overall by Denver in the 2020 NFL draft and played in all 16 games last season, making 14 starts. As a rookie, Jeudy led the Broncos in targets (113) and receiving yards (856), while ranking second in receptions and tied for third in receiving touchdowns with 52 and three, respectively.

Jeudy's 856 receiving yards in 2020 were over 100 more than any other Denver player, as Tim Patrick ranked second with 742.

Without Jeudy in the lineup over the last six games, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater's primary receivers have been Fant, Patrick and Courtland Sutton. Wideout KJ Hamler - a fellow 2020 draft pick - was placed on season-ending IR on Sept. 28 after tearing his ACL.
